Our experiences of visiting cities leave us with fragmented images, sounds, smells and happenings. The experience is divided into days; the day we went to the museum, the day of the river boat ride, the day of the crowded underground stations , the hot day, the day it rained. All these fragments make up the layers and layers of minute by hour experiences. My memories of cities often come in dark, jewel-like colours. Landscapes come in light, natural colours.

Saigon, Barcelona, New York, Venice and the time slipping through my fingers.
