Autumn Energy

On a bright and damp autumn day, I took a drive from Keighley to Todmorden across the wild moors, through Bronte Country. Because the landscape was wet with dew, the colours glowed as if they had just invented themselves - it was magical. Late autumn brings Saturn to the sky. The planets, the Milky Way, our DNA, a sea shell and the leaves all share the same geometry. I am celebrating that entanglement in this painting.
