The red lacquer tray

This quiet interior in a modest little house in Vietnam is ready for visitors with its polished table top and the red lacquer tray set with tea pot and cups. The lime washed walls are coloured blue in this room and yellow in the room beyond. Traditional music was playing while I sat on the bench to sketch this tranquil scene.
